Nanci Waterhouse is a mother of three children, and three four leggeds. She holds a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, with an emphasis in Literacy and Early Childhood Education. Nanci has been teaching since 1993 and has worked with children from birth through eighth grade. She is passionate about experiences that generate engagement in authentic literacy activities and integrating cultural perspectives that help broaden children’s understandings of humanity into education curriculum. Nanci currently works at Salish Kootenai College in Pablo, Mt. as the Chair of the Early Childhood Department in the Education Division. She teaches classes for teacher candidates in both the Elementary and Early Childhood programs such as Meeting the Needs of Families, Growth and Development, and Language and Literacy. She lives with her three children in Missoula.
