I have been passionate about the natural world since I was a child, riding horses and playing in the woods near my home. I began exploring primitive skills in 2005, when I spent two months in the Salmon/Selway wilderness with a group of 12 people, exploring survival as well as group dynamic skills. Since then I have dabbled in various crafts, and my family spent a summer immersed in Lynx Vilden’s Stone Age Living Project. I taught at Ravenwood Outdoor Learning Center in Whitefish and have co-facilitated the children’s program at Between The Rivers Primitive Skills Gathering in Washington for the past 3 years. I live to help kids discover the joy and fulfillment of the natural world! To me, it is one of the best ways we can build the world we want to live in. When not playing in the woods, I am also a practitioner of Somatic Experiencing, a body based trauma therapy, and a Licensed Massage Therapist and Clinical Herbalist. I live in Hamilton with my ten year old boys, 6 month old baby, and partner.
