Movement (all ages) Connect 2018

An event every week that begins at 9:30am on Thursday, repeating until June 7, 2018
Mindfulness is important for everyone to practice, whether you are age 5 or age 95. Here at eNDVR we think it is important for our students to learn awareness of their minds and bodies, in order to help them learn how to navigate the wide range of emotions that life can throw at them. Whether it’s everyday interactions with friends and family, coworkers or co-students, or dealing with tragedy and stress, mindfulness helps us all build healthier minds, bodies, and communities. Join us as we help to teach students mindfulness this fall semester in 3 different age groups. This is a new and growing area of learning for the students at eNDVR.
Currents Swim Lessons: All Ages- This is a beginner swimming class, for kids with little to no swim experience and who feel comfortable putting their face under water (Level 2). There will be a 30 minute lesson time and 30 minute free-swim time.
Introduction to Aerial Arts: All Ages-Learn the fundamentals of Aerial Silks, Aerial Sling, Aerial Hoop and Spanish Web.This class will focus on safety, proper form and conditioning as well as basic beginner moves and tricks!
-Please wear comfortable tight fitting clothing or shirts that can be tucked in
because you will be going upside-down. NO ZIPPERS, BUTTONS, SNAPS, NO JEANS or
anything that could snag Aerial Fabric. Natural fiber stretch pants work best.
-Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated and notebook to class if you like to keep
notes and track your training.
Parkour at Unparalleled Movement: Ages 8-18 (ages 5-8 need previous parkour experience to participate)In this session we will work on developing the connections between the body and mind. We will break away from the standard, habitual movements and introduce new ways to think about how the human body can be practically utilized in the world around us. Parkour is an entire progression of movement, starting with basics, and building from there. We will work on jumping, climbing, vaulting, flipping, and falling. Our program is adaptable to fit everyone’s age and skill level. We will meet you where you are and help you progress to levels you never thought you would be able to attain.
-This session will give the students a solid foundation to build off of. We look forward to working with you and helping you find the challenge and enjoyment that comes from movement.
