First Lego League Competition Team (Ages 9-14)
November 9, 2015 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am$180.00
Led By: Annie Graham
Meets on: Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30-11:30
The First Lego League is a competition based learning challenge for students aged 9-14. Students on our FLL team come up with innovative answers to research questions and present their findings to a panel of judges. In addition, students build a Lego Mindstorms EV3 robot that completes a number of challenges on a competition course. An FLL experience is a challenging, practical experience for students. Their learning is directly connected to real world applications and hands on experiences. Mondays will be our FLL project research day and students will attend eNDVR’s public speaking class to hone their presentation skills. On Wednesdays, we will work on building and programming our robots. Students must enroll in BOTH days in order to participate in the FLL.
First quarter costs include $160 for classes (4 hours per week for 8 weeks) and the $100 registration fee.
Second quarter costs include $160 for classes (4 hours per week for 8 weeks) and $20 costume fee.
This year’s challenge is called TRASH TREK
