Connect (ages 10-18)

An event every week that begins at 9:30am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, repeating until June 6, 2016
Connect is our 4th quarter program in our survive->express->innovate->connect series for 5th-12th grade students. This term, we will discover and explore the world around our students. We will participate in 2 week units on community, government, people of Montana and Montana/natural history. The Connect program is currently limited to 8 students.
9:30-10:30 Students can choose between taekwondo or a class on our weekly topic
10:30-12:00 Students will participate in a multi-age sustainability project, planning and building our garden and playspace area. This project will be led by Blue Sky Stewardship.
1:00-3:30 Students will participate in a field trip or activity related to our weekly theme. We will head to Fort Missoula, the courthouse, a raptor rescue center and more as we learn about the world around us.
Wednesdays (except for April 20th):
9:30-3:30 Students will learn primitive skills like fire and shelter building. They will explore their natural world on hikes and learn more about themselves through awareness activities.
Wednesday April 20th: Students will head over to Big Sky High School to participate in our service project. We will cheer on the Special Olympians as they participate in the spring games. We will also assist with the field day activities.
9-5 (times vary) ( Students will have the option to participate in day long field trips. These trips will bring us to far away places (the Bison Range, Grant-Kohrs, Butte, Travelers Rest, Garnet Ghost Town and more). We may also go on one or two overnight backpacking trips. Once you resister for connect, we will contact you about these additional activities and determine how and when your student will participate. These activities will require an additional fee.
