The basic survival class creates an introductory foundation to the principles of survival and self-reliance. Students learn how to use a knife, needle and thread, and basic tools. It also incorporates story-telling, exploration, games, and simple skills that pave the way for expert survivalists down the road. Example of skills learned / practiced: Friction fires, building tinder bundles, traps, throwing sticks, light one-match fires, and build debris huts.

Please be aware that this class is often held outside. Dress your child appropriately for the various types of Montana spring-time weather. Students will also need to bring lunch, water, and if needed, a snack.

This class will only meet 7 times during the Connect session and has had its price adjusted accordingly.
