What is is history? How do we know what happened before we were born? What is an artifact?
Join us as we become historical detectives and explore the people and stories of the American West. What was it like to leave your home, friends, and grandparents to travel to an unknown land by covered wagon? Was it exciting? Scary? Was homesteading challenging? Exciting? Or both?! Without nearby cities or stores, how were everyday items such as soap and clothing made? Let’s find out!

This class will include artifact studies, a guest speaker, and guided field trip to Fort Missoula’s homestead cabin.n.

This class only meets 7 times during the Express Session and the price has been adjusted accordingly.
